Home Delivery Pharmacy Service Saves Money
UnitedHealthcare’s Home Delivery Pharmacy Service can significantly reduce pharmacy spending. In partnership with Medco Health, the program offers drugs at discounted prices, achieved by leveraging our large purchasing power.

Quality, speed and accessibility at a lower cost

The Home Delivery service is an easy and convenient option if you require medicine on an ongoing basis.

Prescription drugs are sent directly to your home and you can receive up to a 90-day supply for most medications (with up to four refills). The cost can be significantly less than the cost for the same quantity at a retail pharmacy.  Because home delivery costs are lower, employers are able to pass some of the savings on to employees through lower copays, and Medco covers the cost of shipping.

Refilling prescriptions

You can choose to obtain refills via the Internet, phone or mail. The Home Delivery Pharmacy Service accepts checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. Automated credit card billing is also available.

With UnitedHealthcare’s Home Delivery program, you can be assured of the same quality and safety standards of a retail pharmacy.  Medco Health’s home delivery pharmacy centers use the latest technology to fill prescriptions quickly and accurately, and adhere to national standards for quality.  The facility is staffed with registered pharmacists who are accessible 24-hours a day, and all prescriptions are reviewed for potential drug interactions based on your personal medication profile.

Take advantage of the savings

Employers who offer UnitedHealthcare insurance coverage should encourage their employees, especially those on high-cost maintenance medications, to take advantage of the convenience and reduced prices offered through UnitedHealthcare’s Home Delivery Pharmacy Service.
