Taking verification to the next level

The new card allows an electronic exchange of information among the card holder, physicians and UnitedHealthcare.

Medical ID Card highlights include:

• The ID cards list the subscriber's name as well as any names of covered dependents. So, you won't need separate cards for every member of your family.
• A magnetic stripe on the back of the card allows physicians and other health care professionals to check eligibility at the time of service. This will help streamline your check-in process.
• The card uses an alternate identification system instead of your Social Security Number listed on the card. You'll have increased security of your personal information.
